DeLuca Music Academy has been teaching children to play a range of instruments since it was founded in the Philadelphia area in 1959. They offer guitar and other lessons taught by some of the area’s most qualified teachers six days a week, as well as a comfortable parent’s lounge, free recitals, and a 10 percent discount on instruments and accessories for students.
Our guitar teachers teach rock, blues, metal, country and classical guitar lessons on electric and acoustic guitars. Beginner students can expect to work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. We balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of guitar method books to accomplish this and encourage students to bring recordings of music they enjoy.
